There's a reward for evidence concerning the death of a young sea lion in Southland

There's a reward for evidence concerning the death of a young sea lion in Southland

A Department of Conservation ranger located her in the Catlins Estuary, with possible gunshot wounds last week.

It's been sent to Massey University to confirm the cause of death.

The New Zealand Sea Lion Trust is offering five thousand dollars for any evidence that leads to a conviction for this offence.

They say the message needs to be given, loud and clear, that this is not acceptable.
