    Walters being shown the door's stunned the NRL, albeit coming after a shock slump from grand finalists to 12th in the space of a year.

    CEO Dave Donaghy said in today's emotional farewell press conference that - "hand on heart" - Walters "put a pulse back into the Broncos"... the outgoing coach himself highlighting the 2023 decider with his son, Brisbane hooker Billy Walters.
