A man-hunt continues, after a young man's death in Hamilton overnight, involving youths wielding knives and machetes

Police were called to an altercation, reportedly involving two groups on Alexandra Street, just after midnight.

A 20-year-old man died after being taken to hospital - another three victims, have moderate to serious injuries.

A source says a carload of youths were seen arriving near the scene, brandishing knives and machetes.

Alexandra Street is currently cordoned off between Collingwood and Hood streets, and the road is expected to remain closed today.
