Two people will appear in the North Shore District Court following the alleged abduction of a woman in Auckland's Beach Haven

An altercation took place at a Sunnyhaven Avenue house just before 7.30 Tuesday evening, and a woman was allegedly forced into a vehicle.

There were reports of gunfire, and she was later found in Greenhithe with injuries unrelated to the gun shot.

A 32-year-old man is facing kidnapping, wounding with intent and firearms charges, and a 28-year-old woman will appear on a charge of failing to carry out obligations relating to a computer search.

The alleged victim is recovering from her injuries in hospital and Police say she'll have a long road to recovery.
