Demi Lovato “fell in love” with Joe Jonas when she watched him play guitar during a scene in ‘Camp Rock’

The 25-year-old singer and the former Jonas Brother briefly dated in 2010 after wrapping the Disney musical movie’s sequel ‘Camp Rock 2’, and the star has pin-pointed the exact moment of the 2008 original production when she found herself crushing on the hunky singer.

Whilst watching back clips from her past for her new YouTube documentary series ‘Simply Complicated’, her close pal Matthew Scott asked of Joe: “Did you have a crush on him, like, this whole time?”

To which Demi responds: “Oh, yeah.”

And as the footage on her computer played a clip in which Joe is sat by a lake playing guitar before Demi walks up to sit with him, the ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ singer confesses her true emotions at the time.

Speaking about the clip, Demi told her friends: “Oh my God, wait! This moment I freaking fell in love with him. In real life.”

Demi also noted that the pair shared their first kiss “on camera”, and whilst they only dated for “a month or two”, her friend Matthew added that the short time feels like “forever when you’re [young]”.

The ‘Confident’ hitmaker and Joe, 28, split in May of 2010, but remain friends despite going their separate ways.

Joe said at the time of their split: "Demi and I knew going into our romantic relationship that it may not be an easy one. I realise over the time we have shared together that I feel I care more about our friendship right now. It was my choice to breakup, but I love her as a friend. She's been there for me when I needed her. I will continue to be her friend and be there for her."
