Kasabian’s Tom Meighan is in a new relationship

The 36-year-old musician revealed earlier this year that he had suffered a secret meltdown after splitting from his former girlfriend Kim James - with whom he has four-year-old daughter Mimi Malone - in 2016, but it seems the star is back on his feet once again as he’s now announced he’s seeing somebody new.

Tom was speaking on stage at the Q Awards at London’s Roundhouse theatre on Wednesday (18.10.17) - where his band picked up the gong for Best Track for their hit single ‘You’re In Love With A Psycho’ - when he took a moment to thank his mystery beau for “putting up” with him.

He said: “Hello how are you? You alright? I wanna thank my family, my mother and father. I wanna thank my new partner, my lady friend, because she lives with a psycho, so thanks so much to you. And thank you so much for putting up with my s**t.”

The happy news comes after Tom previously admitted 2016 was a year he'd rather forget - unlike his bandmate Serge Pizzorno, whose favourite football team Leicester City won the English Premier League.

He said: "Basically my life changed. I'm by myself. Because I lost myself.

"In every way, 2016 was great for Serge, great for Leicester City, s**t for me.

"I had to sort my head out. My attitude. Stuff I was doing. People I was associating with. Not bad people.

"I was the one that was bad, I was in the haze. I was very unhappy, just down. You block it out by just carrying on.”

And the ‘Fire’ hitmaker admitted his breakdown could have been the result of years of negligence.

He explained in March this year: "It was at the peak of my musical life. Sometimes life throws s**t at you and I didn't deal with it very well.

"I was making myself ill, I ain't gonna lie, my mind was jolted.

"It might have been a build-up from years and years. I wasn't taking responsibility and it affected everyone around me, horrendous."
