Dakota Johnson needed therapy after filming the 'Suspiria' remake

The 28-year-old actress stars as Suzy, an American ballet dancer who wins a place at a renowned German academy, only to discover disappearances and deaths on campus as a result of dark powers at work in a town is filled with witches, in the new take on Dario Argento's 1977 cult classic

Speaking to Elle.com, Dakota - who is dating Coldplay frontman Chris Martin - confessed: 'Suspiria', no lie, f**ked me up so much that I had to go to therapy."

Dakota stars alongside Chloe Grace Moretz, Mia Goth and Tilda Swinton in the forthcoming horror.

The 'Fifty Shades Freed' actress has already launched her own production company, which she insists was a necessary move in order to play the kind of roles she wants to do, as the movies she wants aren't being made.

She said: "I've come to terms with the fact that the projects I want to work on don't exist, so I'm going to have to create them for myself.

"I feel incredibly grateful that I'm in a position to do that."

And it seems that the 'How to be Single' star likes a challenge, after wearing "strapless thongs" glued on her body during sex scenes for 'Fifty Shades Freed'.

The Texan star reprised her role as Anastasia Steele for the final movie in the money-spinning trilogy this year, and revealed how uncomfortable it was filming the raunchy scenes with her on-screen lover Christian Grey [Jamie Dornan].

She said: "I had these sort of strapless thongs that had glue on them.

"It's not glue, but it's sticky. They're, like, basically if it were a nipple pastie, but underwear.

"But it's only sticky at the top, it's not sticky the whole way. It would also come off because the adhesive would wear out, so then they would superglue it to my body so that it wouldn't fall off. And I would wear two of them."

The actress explained that while the strapless thongs weren't painful, she did find it to be a "bizarre" experience.

She added: "It's not painful. I mean, it's barely anything. But I guess you have some sense of being covered. It's f**king bizarre."
