The torso of what's believed to be the remains of a palisade post at a North Island pa is worth upwards of 300-thousand dollars.
It'll be sold by major auction house Sotherby's.
It was displayed in Nazi-held Vienna duing World War Two.
It headlines the sale's Maori collection which includes two tikis, a long waihaka, or club, and a two faced carving... all worth tens of thousands of dollars.
