Government urged to offer more than just money for mental health

The Government is being urged to offer more than just money for mental health

A public submission has been made to the Inquiry into Mental Health and Addiction, asking for people to have access to working services, rather than just receiving medication.

One former Mental Health Commissioner believes a full overhaul of the system is necessary.

Mary O'Hagan says the current system is absolutely failing people.

She says the systems will not self organise into working together and the Government needs to step in to help them work together.
