It's a purrrr-fect ending for cat which clung for life after it got stuck in a car grille for a four-hour trip from north of Auckland to New Plymouth

Philip the feline is recovering well and will soon be reunited with his family.

The cat was stuck in an Auckland man's Chevy Camaro during the non-stop 360 kilometre journey on Tuesday.

He was found badly hurt when the car pulled up outside a New Plymouth hotel.

The SPCA say the family can't wait to be reunited with their pet.
