The women's world number one has beaten American Sloane Stephens in three sets to win the French Open in Paris.
Halep had to dig deep, she trailed Stephens by a set and two-love, but remained aggressive and kept her composure to win 3-6, 6-4 6-1 in just over two hours.
After suffering the heartbreak of finals defeats twice at Roland Garros and the agony of losing an epic Australian Open final in January, Halep is a deserving winner of the Suzanne Lenglen Cup.
It's Sloane Stephens' first defeat in seven finals, but she will rise to a career high fourth in the world.
