A high-school ball disaster - that's cost students dearly
13 June 2018
Wellington Girls students turned up to Te Papa at the weekend to find their ball had been cancelled after a suspicious item was found in the building's loading dock.
It was later found to be harmless.
A student, who's asked not to be named, says she spent 200-dollars on tickets for her and her partner, as well as money on make-up, nails and a spray tan.
She says she's rather her ticket is refunded than the ball be rescheduled, as the expense and effort in preparing all over again would be stressful.
She says it's annoying but not the school's fault.
