Queenstown is securing its place as the country's skiing capital

Queenstown is securing its place as the country's skiing capital

Cardrona Alpine Resort, owned by Real Journeys, will merge with the Soho Basin Ski Area to become New Zealand's largest ski resort.

Real Journeys chief executive, Richard Lauder, says Cardrona already has 400 hectares of ski-able terrain.

He says they've secured another 500 hectares from Soho, making it far larger than any other resort in the country.
