Ninety one year old Margaret Stewart was on a traffic-light controlled crossing in Hamilton when she was hit by a truck driven by Alfred Price.
A dash cam shows the traffic light had turned green nine seconds before Stewart was hit.
Price has admitted careless driving causing death.
After a restorative justice conference, Stewart's nieces said they did not want him jailed - or to lose his licence.
He's been ordered to pay emotional harm reparation of five thousand dollars to Stewart's estate.
