A second round of nationwide milk testing for Mycoplasma bovis is about to get underway

The cattle disease is very difficult to test as animals can be carrying the bacteria but not appear ill.
Across the country 70 properties are under restriction notices and 40 are infected.
MPI's Director of Response, Geoff Gwyn, says the testing is not onerous for farmers.
He says it occurs in the lab as part of the normal bulk milk testing so farmers don't need to do anything different.
