Christchurch's Mayor will meet with 28 students from a high school that suffered a mass shooting this year

The pupils, from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, have just landed in Christchurch.

They're here to attend a Youth Leadership Summit at the University of Canterbury.

Lianne Dalziel will take part in a special tribute at Halswell Quarry, where the students will plant 17 Totara trees in memory of those killed in the February shooting.
