Young French star Kylian Mbappe and prolific Liverpool goalscorer Mo Salah are amongst those challenging the decade-long dominance of FIFA's best men's player award by Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi

They've been shortlisted for the honour along with England captain Harry Kane, Croatian midfielder Luka Modric and Belgium playmakers Kevin de Bruyne and Eden Hazard .
Mbappe's world cup winning team-mates Antoine Griezmann and Raphael Varane have also been shortlisted, while France coach Didier Deschamps is one of the finalists for the best coach award.
