The trial of Cory Jefferies is entering its second day in the High Court at Hamilton
25 July 2018
The 46-year-old Waikato farmer admits killing his partner of 26 years, Kim Richmond, but says it was unintentional.
The court heard yesterday how Jefferies had discovered Richmond was having an affair with their neighbour.
The Crown alleges, after a night of booze and watching the rugby, a jealous Jefferies murdered his partner, then dumped their ute in Lake Arapuni, with her body inside.
Today, the court will hear how Police found the vehicle, how they were able to track the couple's cellphones and how they came to arrest Jefferies.
