The 'Canes lost four of their final five matches to end the regular season, and enter tonight's match having never won a playoff match against the Crusaders.
Whitelock says the Hurricanes feature plenty of talented players.

The Lions host the Waratahs in the other semi-final match in Johannesburg at 1:05am tomorrow morning.
