The number eight has been named to start Saturday's decider in Christchurch,
after missing last year's final in Johannesburg because of injury.
Whiteley says playing in Christchurch where rugby is in the blood and against
a great Crusaders team is more than they could as for.
Openside flanker Cyle Brink and Springboks winger Courtnall
Skosan are back in the Lions team.
Brink missed the semi-final against the Waratahs with a shoulder injury,
while Skosan came off the bench at halftime.
