More criticism of Auckland Council's move to level the playing field between Airbnbs and hotels

Some people who rent out rooms or their house on online accommodation site, Airbnb, are being charged partial of full business rates, instead of just commercial.
The Auckland Business Chamber says it's an unjustified revenue raising exercise.
CEO Michael Barnett says charging some people more and others less based on the value of their house - and not the value of what they rent out - is not right.
He says if the council can't do it fairly, it shouldn't do it at all.
