A last-minute cancellation for rapper Scribe

A gig at a Motueka hotel involving the singer had to be cancelled at the last minute on the weekend.

The rapper, whose real name is Malo Ioane Luafutu, is awaiting trial for six charges in the Christchurch District Court.

He was out on bail on Saturday.

Hotel Motueka's events manager - Vincent Sibbald - says they were not fully aware of the position the artist was in.
