They've filed action in the High Court at Auckland, seeking at least 40
million dollars in damages relating to "weather-tightness" issues with
Shadowclad.
Lawyer Adina Thorn says the 117 homeowners have joined forces to take the
action.
It follows issues raised by TVNZ's Fair Go programme, and the Ministry of
Education's decision to take legal action over 800 leaky school buildings.
Thorn says the claim could round up to around 50-million dollars in the wake
of recent developments.
