The Supreme Court has slashed the amount in costs that an anti-fluoride lobby group must pay after losing a legal battle

New Health New Zealand tried to stop the South Taranaki District Council fluoridating, arguing such action amounted to medical treatment being forced on people.
When it failed it was ordered to pay 20-thousand dollars in costs.
However the court has now reduced that to five thousand, saying there was a public interest aspect to the case.
