Another emotional day for the family of Christchurch boy Leon Jayet Cole - at the second day of his inquest
Another emotional day for the family of Christchurch boy Leon Jayet Cole - at the second day of his inquest
10 August 2018
The five-year-old autistic boy died in hospital in May 2015 - after suffering a serious head injury.
His step-father, James Roberts, was due to stand trial in October 2016 for his murder ... but was found dead four months earlier.
Detective Sergeant Chris Power says it's likely the step-father was affected by drugs when the incident occurred - considering the established drug use in the house.
He says Roberts talked about coming home and lighting up on the couch or in the kitchen? with visitors saying they could smell the drugs.
The inquest continues.?
