A sudden closure for the Reserve bank building

It's shutting up shop in the capital while they address asbestos issues.
Remediation was being carried out in the Wellington building alongside normal operations, until yesterday, when trace amounts were found of airborne asbestos in one lift foyer.
Governor Adrian Orr says, as a responsible employer and landlord, the Reserve Bank has decided to close the building so the issue can be addressed comprehensively.
The building will be closed for three months, starting tonight.
Normal currency, payments and settlements, and market operations won't be affected.
