    The Serious Crash Unit will continue investigating this morning how a woman was hit by a ute on Great Barrier Island


    Police say the woman, who's in her 60s, was hit just before 7.45 last night
    at a private property on Puriri Road.

    She was flown to hospital in a rescue helicopter with critical injuries.
