Koepka has carded a seven-under 64 to move to outright third at eight-under, two back from leader Gary Woodland.
Kevin Kisner is alone in second at nine-under.
Koepka is a shot to the good of world number one Dustin Johnson and 2011 Masters champion Charl Schwartzel who are tied for fourth.
Kiwi Ryan Fox is three-under for the tournament in a share of 20th, one-under for the day through nine.
