New Zealand won't be giving up a fight over the deportation of Kiwis from Australia - but our Prime Minister says that doesn't mean the trans Tasman friendship is breaking down

More than 1000 Kiwis have been removed from Australia since stricter laws came into place in 2014 - with our lawmakers irked by the expulsion of citizens on character grounds, especially those who have spent the bulk of their lives in Australia.
But Jacinda Ardern says the differing opinions between the two countries, don't hold us back.
She says we have the kind of relationship which allows us to speak frankly with one another - and she values that.
Ms Ardern says she will keep trying to protect the rights of New Zealanders.
