The annual ACT Party conference is underway, and leader David Seymour is using the event to go on the front foot against the Government

A major policy announcement is due in about an hour.

David Seymour's using the conference to question if the current Government
allows freedom, choice, and responsibility to exist, drawing on the housing
crisis fors examples.

He says the Government's way of sorting the housing problem is by getting
more involved, even though that's the problem.

Mr Seymour says we need the freedom to build and use our own property, the
choice to develop property as we want, but also the responsibility to take of
ourselves in that environment.
