It's a risky business for abseilers working on Kaikoura's State Highway One

The road north of Kaikoura will be closed from eight-am to four-pm today between Clarence and Mangamaunu, as NZTA stabilises Ohau Point's rock face.
Network operations manager Tresca Forrester says the work is going to plan - but safety is the number one priority for abseilers working on the rock face.
She says fixing the road is an ongoing challenge, but they'll keep it open as long as possible til it's due to be completed in late December next year.
