The women's Rugby World Cup will be held in the Southern Hemisphere for the first time in 2021

The women's Rugby World Cup will be held in the Southern Hemisphere for the first time in 2021

World Rugby has confirmed New Zealand and Australia as the only two bidders
    for the tournament.

It had been thought France and Portugal were to submit a join bid, but they
    ultimately declined to do so.

England and Wales separately requested bid documents, but also decided not to
pursue the hosting rights any further.

Both countries announced details of their bids last week, with New Zealand
planning to host games in Auckland and Whangarei.

A detailed evaluation will now take place, before the World Rugby Council
votes to select the host in mid-November.
