Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett are "finalising their divorce"

The former Playboy model has made no secret of the fact she's struggled to come to terms with her split from her husband, whom she was married to for nine years, but it seems she's in a better headspace now and there's no chance they'll rekindle.

A source told PEOPLE.com: "They're still finalising the divorce and it's a whole process. But they're in communication and are in a healthier space. It's no longer toxic. The marriage is definitely over though and they're just trying to work through things as parents and act appropriately for their kids. There's definitely still lingering animosity and hurt feelings but that's just how they are too. They can both be irrational and don't think before they put everything out there."

The 33-year-old television personality is currently in Thailand with her two children Hank IV, eight, and Alijah, four, because she wanted to avoid the divorce drama.

The insider explained: "She's in Thailand right now enjoying some downtime. She's in a better place mentally than she was a few months ago."

Kendra filed for divorce from the 35-year-old former American footballer in April this year - four months after they split - and is seemingly ready to start dating again.

An insider said recently: "She's not dating right now, but she's super open to the idea. She'll definitely be dating sooner rather than later.

"She needs to go out and have fun. She's separated and there's no chance for reconciliation. The relationship is 100 per cent over.

"[Kendra is] ready to really put herself out there in the dating world.

"[She is] looking forward to this new chapter of her life. She feels like she is going to make a comeback and have a full revival."
