Liam Payne's ex-girlfriend quits social media after being inundated with questions about him

Danielle Peazer, 30, who started dating the One Direction star after they met on the 'X Factor' in 2010, when he was a contestant and she was a backing dancer, has decided to take time out from social media after hinting that they are still close.

She wrote on Instagram: "Taking a little time out from social media. I'll reply to DMs when I can but we all need a lil break sometimes (sic)."

Danielle's online break came after she teased fans about her relationship with Liam.

During a Q&A on Instagram, a fan asked if she misses Liam, 24, and she replied: "Why, where's he gone?"

Another asked: "Are you still in touch with Liam?" and Danielle said: "I'm gonna keep that between him and I."

And a third fan tried their luck by saying: "Are you and Liam still friends? Ps: you're amazing," before getting the answer: "You're amazing (and yes I'm avoiding the question)."

However, fans were thrilled when Danielle revealed she has already heard Liam's new song, which has yet to be released.

She said: "His new song is great, you'll love it. I recently heard one that I really like, but it's not out yet. Think it's being released in 10 days or so."

Six weeks ago, Liam split from Cheryl Tweedy, 35, the mother of his 17-month-old son Bear, and he has already moved on with model Cairo Dwek, 20.

Liam and Cairo were first spotted flirting at a party in Cannes, France last month and they followed that up with a romantic break in Italy, where they were spotted kissing at the Villa D'Este hotel in Lake Como this week.

A source told The Sun: "There's no doubt Liam and Cairo are more than just friends.

"They were kissing passionately with his hand wrapped around the back of her head and they obviously couldn't get enough of each other.

"They were walking around the hotel grounds hand in hand, he had his arm around her a lot and she had her hand on his bum. They're obviously massively into each other."

The pair reportedly first met at a nightclub in France this summer and the One Direction singer soon started following her on Instagram, where he liked a number of her posts.
