Shot putter Valerie Adams has confirmed to the New Zealand Herald she is aiming to compete at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The 33-year-old, who has two Olympic gold medals and one silver, will become just the second New Zealand woman, behind Barbara Kendall, to compete at five Games.
But if her European and Commonwealth Games competitions were a gauge this season, adding to her medal tally will be tough challenge.
Adams finished with silver on the Gold Coast, though has been off the pace of other throwers around the world, having yet to crack beyond 19.31 metres this season.
