Vince Aso has ruled himself out of the running to replace Ryan Crotty in the All Blacks

Coach Steve Hansen has mentioned the Hurricanes midfield back was a
contender, after Crotty was ruled out of the second Bledisloe Cup test with
concussion.
But Aso has told Radio Sport he's not due back from a wrist injury until
October at the earliest, which has always been the case.
With only three fit midfield backs in the All Blacks squad, Matt Proctor may
be the next cab off the rank, but he too has been sidelined since May.
He's due to return from a sternum injury this week.
