An insurance lobby group is pleased the Government is paying uninsured former residential red zone owners

The owners will get 100 percent of the 2007/08 rateable value for their homes.
EQC Fix spokesperson Mel Bourke says it's not about insurance.
She says if the Government for any reason needs to acquire land, buildings
houses from a number of people - they should all be treated in a similar way.
Mel Bourke says the Ggovernment shouldn't have based the payments on whether
homes were insured or not.
