    Auckland Airport's profit after tax rose just over 95 percent to 650 million dollars in the 2018 financial year, but that includes the sale of its stake in North Queensland Airports

    The company made 406 million dollars from the sale, which will be used to reinvest in core aeronautical infrastructure, as well as retire debt.

    Its underlying profit after tax was up 6.2 percent to 263 million dollars.

    The total number of passengers increased by 5.7 percent to 20.5 million.

    And underlying earnings per share rose 5.8 percent to 22 cents.
