Z energy is pumping 46 million dollars into Wellington start-up Flick
Electric, acquiring a 70 percent shareholding.
Flick's different in that it offers customers wholesale power prices.
It says the merger is part of its ambition to become a marketplace leader in
smart energy.
And Z chief executive Mike Bennetts says it gives them an incentive to
create more infrastructure for electric vehicles.
He says they have eight electric chargers around the network - and are
looking at opportunities to create more.
