Venus Williams has upheld her part of the bargain

The two times former champion has won through to the third round at the US
tennis Open in New York, setting up the possibility of a meeting with sister
Serena, more than 21 years after their first encounter.
Serena Williams plays her second round match later today.
Venus would relish another match against her younger sister but says it's
been a difficult draw for her.
She says obviously if she plays Serena she would have played two US Open
champions and it's not even the semi finals yet so it's an interesting draw and
I will have to fight for it.
Defending champion Sloane Stephens has rallied from a set down to advance in
three as organisers implemented their heat policy for the second straight day
with temperatures again soaring into the high 30's.
Kiwis Michael Venus and Marcus Daniell have both made winning starts to the
doubles.
