20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer hopes to never see a tennis umpire unnecessarily leave their chair again

Allegations have emerged that chair umpire Mohamed Lahyani gave Australian
Nick Kyrgios a pep talk during his second round match against
Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbert at the US Open.
Organisers have defended Lahyani's actions, saying he was just checking
Kyrgios wasn't ill.
Federer, who faces Kyrgios in the next round says it's not the umpire's job.
He says it was clearly a conversation, and not just checking Kyrgios was ok.
Federer believes it won't happen again.
Kei Nishikori has progressed through to the third round after his
opponent Gael Monfils retired hurt.
Meanwhile, tournament favourite Novak Djokovic currently leads two sets to
one over American Tennys Sandgren.
