    A former NBA player is heading to the Breakers


    The Australian basketball league club has confirmed reports they've signed
    American import Shawn Long as a replacement for fellow-big man Jerrelle Benimon.

    Long played for the Philadelphia 76ers on a short-term deal in the 2016-17
    NBA season, though has spent the past two seasons with their G-League affiliate
    Delaware.

    During the 2017-18 season he averaged a 20-point, 11 rebound double-double
    and was named a G League All Star the same year.

    Benimon ended his deal with the Breakers earlier this week due to personal
    reasons.
