The latest QV report shows nationwide residential property values increased
steadily over the past year by 4.8 percent, but dropped by 1.6 percent in the
three months to August.
Spokesman David Nagel says the nationwide average value is now 672-thousand
500.
He says the regions value for money continues to appeal to a range of buyers
even during the quieter months.
Nagel says areas like Tararua, in Central Hawke's Bay and Rangitikei that
slipped through the cracks, while the market was strong last year, are in catch
up mode now.
