Investors in Forestlands Group of 18 companies will soon get some of their money back
7 September 2018
The group is being liquidated.
The companies raised money from the public and invested the funds in forests in Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa and a management company.
More than four thousand shareholders have been fighting for their share of an 18-million dollar payout from the Forestlands group of companies, after it sold the forests in 2016.
The money has been held in a solicitors trust account after the Financial Markets Authority launched an investigation following complaints proceeds of sale had not been distributed.
