The kiwi pole vaulter has had a year full of injury issues and will miss the
season-ending Continental Cup in Ostrava with a niggling heel injury.
McCartney says she'll be back training in a few weeks and in the grand scheme
of things her injury's come at a good time.
She says she has time and doesn't want a repeat of the same issues next year
so is intent on getting herself back to 100 percent and ready for a big year.
Kiwi shotputter Tom Walsh, sprinter Joseph Millar and middle-distance runner
Angie Petty are the Kiwi representatives at the Continental Cup.
