Capital gains are predicted to be the major stumbling block for the government's Tax Working Group

Head of Policy at Certified Practising Accountants Australia, Paul Drum, says the capital gains tax is highly politicised - as it would affect house values.
The group is reporting back this month - but Drum says it's likely they'll wait for more consultation and input.
He says they'll probably recommend a capital gains tax be put on the table, but with the caveat that more work needs to be done to decide what it'll look like.
