    A Christchurch businessman is welcoming the council's plans to spend most of its government funding on a new stadium


    The Council has proposed spending 220 million of the government's 300 million
    dollar allocation on a multi-use stadium for the central city.

    Bar owner Max Bremner says it will bring more people and more events into
    Christchurch.
