    A rookie playing in just her second major has a share of the lead after the first round of the Evian Championship in France


    Puerto Rico's Maria Torres has carded a six under 65 to hold a one shot lead
    alongside Spaniard Carlota Ciganda.

    Torres who squeaked through LPGA qualifying to get full playing status on the
    tour, can barely contain her excitement.

    She says she was just hitting shot by shot and they went in.

    Kiwi Lydia Ko is seven shots off the pace after battling to a one over 72.
