Foodstuffs have stopped importing Australian strawberries amid the needle contamination crisis

Several people across the Tasman have reported finding sewing needles in strawberries, prompting the recall of a number of brands.

Foodstuffs is confident no affected products have entered New Zealand, but as a precaution, they've stopped importing Australian products.

No brands in New Zealand are affected by the recall.
