One woman charged over aggravated robbery of elderly couple pleads guilty in Christchurch District Court

One woman charged over the aggravated robbery of an elderly couple has pleaded guilty to one charge in the Christchurch District Court

39-year-old Whangarei woman Maera Todd pleaded guilty to one charge of aggravated robbery of a 91 year old man and a 81 year old woman in their Papanui home.

    She still faces two charges.

Co-accused - 38-year-old Shantai Lawson withdrew her bail application and was remanded in custody until October 8 for a sentencing indication hearing.

The pair were allegedly armed with an offensive weapon - robbing the married couple of their cell phone and wallet.

In addition, Todd faces three outstanding charges for the kidnapping and robbery of an 87-year-old man outside a Hastings supermarket last month.
